Application Process: submittal of paperwork, staff and committee review, fees and studies, and any additional project specific actions required for an application to move through the City of Laramie Community Development Department.

Community Development Department: is responsible for the physical development of the City as well as providing support to the City Council, the Planning Commission, Environmental Advisory Committee, Urban System Advisory Committee, Traffic Commission, Building Board of Appeal, Board of Health, and other boards and commissions.

Planning Commission: The Planning Commission consists of seven persons, appointed by the Laramie City Council for a term of three years. The Planning Commission advises the City Council in urban planning, land use studies, and other types of planning studies. Planning Page Link
Pre-application Meeting: an optional meeting for applicants of Community Development services to seek greater detail in requirements, schedule, fees, and any other logistical clarifications sought by applicants. There is no fee for this service.
Unified Development Code: a local policy instrument that combines traditional zoning and subdivision regulations, along with other desired city regulations, such as design guidelines, sign regulations, and floodplain and stormwater management, into one document. City of Laramie UDC
Submittal Checklist: a section found on each Community Development services application that outlines all required information, fees, documents to process and approve the specific application.
