Requests for Qualifications (RFQs)

Jacoby Ridge Rural Trail
The City of Laramie invites firms to submit qualifications in the disciplines of single track and rural trail design and construction as such services will apply to the Jacoby Ridge Rural Trail Project.  Generally, rural trails will be established in natural and rural areas providing a more remote experience ideal for walking, running or bicycling.  The trails will be designed to minimize soil disturbance and erosion.  Rural trail standards suggest a clearing width of 7 to 9 feet, tread width of 3 to 5 feet, and the tread surface should be a natural material, such as crusher fines.  Specifically, the Jacoby Ridge Golf Course trail easement is 25 feet wide and approximately 14,500 lf long. The trail will be classified as a rural trail with a 4” deep, 5’wide crusher fine tread.  Each side of the trail will be clear of rocks, debris and plants more than native grass for 2’ to allow for mowing operations.  Written, sealed submittals must be submitted to the City of Laramie, Parks & Recreation Dept., Attn: Todd Feezer, Director, P.O. Box C, Laramie WY, 82073 (street address: 920 Boulder Dr., Laramie WY 82070) no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, February 16, 2017. A mandatory pre-submittal meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 10:00am at the Laramie Community Recreation Center, 920 Boulder Dr., Laramie, WY 82070.  Copies of the Request for Qualifications may be obtained by contacting the Parks & Recreation Department Office, Todd Feezer at 307-721-5260 or by clicking here.  The City reserves the right to award this project to the firm that best fits the requirements outlined in the Request for Qualifications. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in any submittal and/or reject all submittals, and to accept the submittal that is in the best interest of the City.
