Non-Discrimination Ordinance
Non-Discrimination Ordinance
On May 13, 2015, Laramie City Council passed an ordinance prohibiting “discrimination of any person based upon his or her actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, housing and public accommodations.” Laramie is the first city in Wyoming to implement such a measure and provide a process for gay and transgender people to file a complaint with the city if they believe they have been the subject of discrimination. The ordinance went into effect in June.
