Holiday Adoptions: Angel Donor Steps Up!
The Laramie Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions through the holiday season thanks to an anonymous donation.

All adoption fees will be covered, as will fees associated with rabies vaccinations of the adopted animals. For a list of adoptable animals currently available at the shelter, click here.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) estimates that about 7.6 million animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Less than half of these animals are adopted.

Considerations to Make Before Adopting a Pet

Adopting a pet requires commitment and patience. Your decision to adopt a pet should be well thought out. Considerations should include type of pet, size of pet, your schedule, age of your children, whether you have a fenced yard or a kennel, financial stability, and where you plan to be in five, 10, or even 15 years.

In an effort to halt the overpopulation of unwanted pets, the Laramie Animal Shelter requires the sterilization of all adopted animals. The City of Laramie Animal Shelter does not guarantee the health or temperament of any animal adopted or redeemed from our facility.

All of the adoptable animals that we have at the shelter are pictured on the Laramie Animal Shelter website. In addition, you can find information on found animals, shelter operations, hours, and location. We urge you to visit us and meet everyone that is available!
