Who We Serve

The LARC Dispatch Center provides emergency 9-1-1 services for all Laramie and Albany County residents. Primarily, the Dispatch Center serves the Laramie Police Department, Albany County Sheriff’s Office, and the Laramie Fire Department. Additionally, LARC Dispatch serves the following agencies:

Calls for Service

The Dispatch Center is the only public safety answering point (PSAP) in Albany County. All emergency and non-emergency calls are routed through LARC Dispatch. Medical and fire emergencies that occur on the University of Wyoming campus are also taken and dispatched by LARC dispatchers. Each year, on average, the Dispatch Center handles the following:

  • Albany County Sheriff’s Office - 15,000 calls for service
  • Laramie Police Department - 55,000 calls for service
  • Laramie Fire Department (EMS) - 3,500 calls for service
  • Laramie Fire Department (Fire) - 700 calls for service
  • Total - 74,200 calls for service
