The Finance Division of the Administrative Services Department provides a number of services including:
Budget management and reporting
Financial accounting and reporting
Financial analysis and planning
Payroll processing and related tax filings
Timekeeping administration and related compliance
Additionally, the Finance Division provides the City Council and management staff with monthly updates on expenditures and revenues, as well as other reports on the City's financial condition. The division also manages the City's cash resources to ensure a maximum return on Laramie's assets and funds. Overall, the Finance Division seeks to provide a desired level of liquidity with the City's resources while maximizing returns within a low-risk model.
