Recycle (002)

The City of Laramie is no longer be accepting plastics numbered 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 as recycling.  Unfortunately, due to current market conditions these plastics currently have no recycling market.

* You can recycle plastic film (grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, Amazon mailers, etc.) at the local grocery stores.  Just look for a box near the front entrance.

  • Look for the plastic recycling symbol.  This is usually located on the bottom of the product.
  • If the number in the recycling symbol is 1 or 2 then it can be recycled and placed into the blue lidded recycling cart.
  • If there is no number or it’s 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 then it is trash and needs to be placed into the black lidded trash cart.

For more information and to look up specific items in order to find out what goes where, visit or download our free app, “Laramie Waste and Recycling”.  You can search for specific items, find out about special events and get reminders so you never miss your collection day again.
