Potential Flooding Risk – Turn Around, Don’t Drown

Turn Around Don't Drown

With recent heavy snow accumulation and a potential for rapid snow melt and rain in the forecast, the City of Laramie along with Albany County Emergency Management is reminding residents to be prepared for areal flooding. We would like to remind residents to use extra caution around rivers and streams. The power of moving and seemingly still water is easily underestimated. When encountering a flooded roadway or pedestrian pathway please “turn around, don’t drown.”

Residents are encouraged to report any small stream, river or roadway flooding to local authorities through the non-emergent phone number at (307) 721-2526. In an emergency please call 9-1-1.

Questions should be directed to Assistant City Manager Todd Feezer at (307) 721-5304 or via email at
