City of Laramie and Knife River To Begin Street Rehab
Laramie, Wyoming – The City of Laramie partnered with Knife River to begin a massive rehabilitation project for 9 lane-miles of mill and overlay with associated curb and gutter, ADA ramps, and spot base repair this summer. The following is the initial project schedule. Dates are approximate and may change due to weather, field conditions, and construction progress.
Concrete Work (curb/gutter, sidewalk/ADA, and base repairs as applicable)

- Skyline Dr — starts Mar 13, 2026
- 4th St – Clark St to Ivinson Ave — starts Mar 20, 2026
- Adams St — starts Mar 31, 2026

- McCue St — starts Apr 9, 2026
- Spring Creek Dr — starts Apr 23, 2026
- 22nd St — starts May 13, 2026

Asphalt Work (utility adjustments as needed, milling, patching/subgrade repair, and paving)

The entire rehabilitation project will be wrapped up by the end of October 2026. Each roadway being rehabbed will be closed for not more than four weeks while crews work. Traffic will be redirected as needed for the safety of crews, pedestrians, and drivers alike.
The public can find out which streets are on the shortlist for closure or are currently closed by visiting the City of Laramie Road Closures link. The public will also be able to follow along on project progress by signing up for the City’s Newsflash tool at www.cityoflaramie.org/m/newsflash. There will be monthly and major project updates [WW1] on road closures and rehab progress posted there.
