Laramie, Wyoming – The City of Laramie in conjunction with the BHA Design, Incorporated, are excited to announce that the first round of Public Meetings for the 3rd Street Beautification Project will be held on April 24, 2025, at the Historic Railroad Depot, 600 S. 1st Street, from 11am to 1pm and 5pm to 7pm.

The 3rd Street corridor of Laramie is more than just a highway it’s the heart of downtown, connecting businesses, culture, and community. As we look to the future, revitalizing 3rd Street is essential to fostering economic growth, improving aesthetics, and preserving the unique charm that makes Laramie… well… Laramie!   Improvements may span 8 blocks of Downtown between Clark Street and Sheridan Street, on both sides of the street.

The project objectives are:

  1. Placemaking: By capitalizing on our communities’ authentic assets, stories, and history while enhancing its aesthetic appeal to make 3rd street feel warm and welcoming.
  2. Gateways: Through creating a sense of arrival to Laramie’s Downtown in partnership with the Laramie Public Art Coalition.
  3. Collaboration: Through an open, transparent, and fun public process.
  4. Economic Vitality: By enhancing downtown commerce by encouraging drivers to stop, walk, and shop.
